1. These terms
These terms are the agreement between you and Screen Recorder Rocket ("we", "us") covering your use of the app and this website. By downloading, installing, using or buying a license for the app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
2. The free version
Screen Recorder Rocket is free to use. Every feature is unlocked in the free version — recording, cinematic auto-zoom, cursor effects, trimming, resizing and exporting to MP4, WebM, GIF and MP3. The only difference is that exports from the free version carry a small "Screen Recorder Rocket" badge in the bottom-right corner.
You can use the free version for personal or commercial work, including client work, with no time limit.
3. The Pro license · not currently offered (free beta)
The app is free right now — there is no Pro licence to buy. This section applies only if paid plans return.
A Pro license is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. It removes the watermark from your exports. There is no recurring charge and nothing to cancel.
What you may do
- Use the app for personal and commercial purposes, including for paying clients.
- Install and activate it on machines that you personally use.
- Keep and use your license indefinitely — it does not expire.
- Own and freely use everything you record. Your recordings are yours; we claim no rights over them whatsoever.
What you may not do
- Share, resell, publish or distribute your license key.
- Sell, sublicense or redistribute the app itself, or pass it off as your own.
- Attempt to remove the watermark without a valid license, or circumvent licensing.
- Use the app to record people unlawfully, or to break any law that applies to you (see §5).
The app is licensed to you, not sold. We retain ownership of the software and its intellectual property.
4. Payment · not currently in effect (free beta)
We take no payments while the app is free. This describes payment only for if paid plans return.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Prices are shown at checkout and may include tax depending on where you are. After a successful payment you're redirected to a page that issues your license key, and you can return to that link to retrieve the key again if you lose it.
If your key doesn't arrive or doesn't work, email us and we'll sort it out — see §9.
5. Recording responsibly
You are responsible for what you record. Laws about recording people, screens, calls and audio vary by country and by state, and in many places you need the consent of the people being recorded. Please make sure you have the right to record whatever you're capturing, and to share it.
Don't use the app to record people without the consent you're legally required to have, to capture material you have no right to, or for harassment, stalking or any unlawful purpose.
6. Refunds · nothing to refund (free beta)
The app is free, so there are no purchases and nothing to refund. The policy below applies only if paid plans return.
We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on Pro licenses. If you're not happy with your purchase for any reason, email support@screen-recorder-rocket.shop within 14 days of purchase, include your order reference, and we'll refund the full amount to your original payment method.
Refunds are normally processed within a few business days. How quickly the money reappears on your statement is up to your bank or card issuer, and is outside our control.
After a refund is issued, your license key is deactivated and you should stop using the Pro version — though you're very welcome to keep using the free version for as long as you like.
If you're a consumer in the UK or EU, you also have statutory rights, including a 14-day right of withdrawal for digital purchases. Nothing in these terms takes those rights away. Because your license key is delivered immediately, you agree to immediate delivery at checkout — but our 14-day guarantee above applies regardless, so you are not worse off.
7. No warranty
We work hard to make the app reliable, but it's provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't promise that it will be free of bugs, that it will work with every combination of hardware, operating system and browser, or that it will never lose a recording.
Please keep your own backups of anything important. Recordings live on your device; if your device fails, we have no copy — by design, because we never receive them.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses — including lost recordings, lost data, lost profits or lost business — arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app.
Where liability cannot legally be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you actually paid us for your license in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If you're a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
9. Support
Support is by email at support@screen-recorder-rocket.shop. We're a small operation, so we can't promise a guaranteed response time, but we genuinely do read and answer everything — especially anything to do with a purchase, a lost key or a refund.
10. Privacy
The app collects no personal data, and your recordings never leave your device. The full details are in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
11. Changes and termination
We may update these terms — for example if we add features or change how the app is sold. If we do, we'll update the date at the top of this page, and we'll be upfront about anything significant rather than quietly rewriting it. Changes don't apply retroactively to a purchase you've already made.
We may suspend a license that is being shared, resold or used to circumvent licensing. Otherwise, your license is yours to keep.
12. Governing law
GOVERNING_LAW in site-config.js. This determines which courts and consumer laws apply, so it should match where you actually operate or are registered. These terms are governed by the laws of [YOUR COUNTRY / STATE], and the courts of [YOUR COUNTRY / STATE] will have jurisdiction over any dispute — except that, if you're a consumer, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of the country where you live, and you keep the protection of that country's mandatory consumer laws.

Note: these terms describe how Screen Recorder Rocket actually operates and are written in good faith, but they are not legal advice. If you sell into regulated markets or at scale, it's worth having a lawyer review them against your specific setup and jurisdiction.
